Why Piano Lessons

The piano has long been considered to be the queen of instruments,  because it can do practically anything the orchestra can do as far as pitch range.  For the past 200 years (or possibly longer)  - piano instructors have been telling their clients that lessons make their children smarter and helps them to excel in school. Nowadays we have neuroscientists who study such issues. The scientists are able to confirm conclusively that piano/
keyboard instruction increases spatial-reasoning abilities
as well as stimulating other areas of the brain. Particular abilities most often cited are the higher math faculties  -  especially geometry.
